I don’t particularly like running, but occasionally I need to run to get a bus or train or catch a green light to cross a street. I do like the idea of running and whenever I run I somehow convince myself that I would be really good at it.
After this revelation I convince myself to start using the treadmill again, even though I hate it.
For the record, I actually could run in high school and I even had a short stint in track. I had to quit though because I got a job and track practice was every day.
Money > Athletics

Haha, I love this. Great drawings! This reminds me of what my brother’s friend said once: “Running a marathon is fun until a 70 year old guy speeds past you and there’s no way you can catch up with him!”
That first drawing was priceless!! Ha!
If I have to run for the bus I’m still out of breath when I get off it again. Must shape up one of these days.

I am so forwarding this to a friend of mine who just made a bet (after never have running before ever) that he could run a 5k in under 23 minutes. He actually has a lot more dedication than me, though. I’m like you, I used to be good at running in high school, but I HATE it so much.
EXACTLY how I feel about running… and I’ve recently hit the treadmill too (with the exact same expression….!) Nice to know I’m NOT ALONE in this world!
Great post… thank you!
