Stitchen’ Kittens

We have a friend who lives in Las Vegas but is moving to the Bay Area, so the Husband decided to be nice and help him move. Unfortunately (fortunately?), I had to work on Friday so I got to stay home and work on my dirty cross-stitch instead. I forgot how long cross-stitching takes. Honestly, if you pay less than $1,000 for any cross-stitched piece you are getting a bargain.

I decided awhile ago that I wouldn’t post pictures on my blog because you might get the idea that I’m a real person and not a cartoon, but I think this picture is close enough to a cartoon that I’ll let it slide.

Here’s what it looks like so far. I still have some detailing to do so don’t get too judge-y. It doesn’t look exactly the same as the original since I’m just making up the pattern as I go along.

Someone commented and said they are going to try and make something similar but with kittens, so I’m going to steal that idea and add a kitten too. Hopefully I can finish this soon though because I have about one week till I start to lose interest and start another project I’ll probably never finish either.

OMG. I made a dirty cross stitch too! I ended up framing it and giving it to this jerk of a guy who wouldn’t take no for an answer… it was oh-so-satisfying. http://sumoannie.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/cross4.jpg

So if you were in Old England sitting around the sitting room with a bunch of delicate ladies all pride and prejudice like… Theyd say, ” what are you making?” Then they would all have coniptions and fainting spells after you explained what F means. HAHAH
