Notes Like Sparkling Stars

I had my piano lesson last night and my teacher said the stoniest thing that possibly anyone has ever said to me. I was playing a song and she interrupted me and said, “No, you should play this like sparkling stars.”

Pardon me?

Yes, like every note is a sparkling star. I don’t know what she’s smoking, but I want some.

Of course this calls for a GIF, which I was nice enough to make for you.

You’re welcome.

  1. I’ll adapt that to “type like sparkling stars” or “edit like sparkling stars.” Which *does* make sense. (And as a former many year piano student, play like sparkling stars makes sense to me. With or without stoniness. *g*

    Well, gee, that’s special.

I guess sparkling stars sound extra bright and “plinkety” ont he piano. In her world at any rate.
