Pumpkin Skillz

PRO: It’s Monday and I’m not hungover.

CON: It’s Monday.

CON: We have a staff meeting this morning.

PRO: I’ve been promised coffee cake.

PRO: Coffee cake is delicious.

CON: Even with the promise of coffee cake, I’m bored.

PRO: Bored is better than stressed?

CON: I actually should be stressed right now, but my mind is in denial.

PRO: I’m going to carve a pumpkin this week.

CON: My hand will probably get really sore and I’ll get yelled at by my piano teacher.

PRO: I can carve an epic pumpkin. It’s one of my random skills that I rarely get to use and for some reasons employers look at me funny when I list it on my resume.

The last pumpkin I carved.

I’m still narrowing down my decision for this year, but I was thinking of entering Regretsy’s Second Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. Ideas?

Wow! I see why you put them on your resume. That’s some serious pumpkin-carving talent right there.

Awesome pumpkin… Here’s some that I stumbled upon today that, although required great skill, are completely devoid of morals and any kind of innate sense of right or wrong…. enjoy! 😛

  3. Could you carve a pumpkin with an “Occupy Rio” theme? Our friends have been asking us to start the movement. I’m not inspired. Could you do a pumpkin with a samba/financial independence theme? Please?

    • Wow, I wouldn’t even know where to start. Something with feathers? Maybe corporations being stabbed with feathers by dancing people? Or maybe people dancing and crushing high-rise buildings or banks? Not sure I can accomplish this with a pumpkin though, this may be beyond even my skills.
